New Connections

If you want to arrange a new electricity connection to a property, there are certain activities (known as non-contestable items) that need to be carried out by the licensed distribution operator and others (known as contestable items) where you are free to go to any suitably qualified contractor for the work.  Broadly speaking, cable laying, jointing and plant installation are contestable items that can be carried out by a contractor who is accredited and approved by Lloyds Register.  Point of connection determination, design approval, statutory consents, quality assurance and final connection  are non-contestable.

·        Would you like further information about arranging a new connection to our network and our charges?

·        Would you like us to provide you with a quotation for both contestable and non-contestable items?

·        Would you like us to provide you with a quotation for non-contestable items only?

·        Are you an independent connections provider and would like information about connecting to our network?

·        Would you like to apply for an unmetered connection (public lighting and some other limited areas)?

We are committed to providing excellent customer service.  We are aware that occasionally we may not live up to our expectations.  If this happens we want to hear from you.  Making us aware that you are unhappy with the service you receive gives us the opportunity to put matters right for you and to improve our service in the future for everyone.  Click here if you require details of our complaints procedure.
