Competition in Connections
What is competition in connections?
With the introduction of competition, customers have the option to have some work, referred to as contestable work, carried out by an Independent Connection Provider (ICP). They must be registered with Lloyds National Electricity Registration Scheme (NERS) to carry out such work. Click here for a link to the Lloyds NERS site.
There are certain elements of your electricity connection that only CE Electric or our appointed contractor can carry out, these are referred to as ‘non-contestable work’.
You can seek a competitive quotation for other elements of the workand this can be carried out by an Independent Connections Provider (ICP). The work that can be carried out by any accredited Independent Connection Providers is referred to as ‘contestable work’.
